MIUI 13 : Lunching New leak reveals features, logo, startup

The next flagship from Xiaomi MIUI 13 is set to arrive on December 28th but mean while, Xiaomi’s new operating system has leaked in its full glory. MIUI 13 was believed to be officially launched in the third quarter of 2021 but it’s almost the end of the year and yet there’s no official announcement on the horizon.

Now, judging by the sheer volume of the leak, MIUI 13 might be around the corner and this OS will probably make its debut with the arrival of the aforementioned Xiaomi 12 flagship series later this month. Back to the leak!

The information comes from the site Xiaomiui, and features the new logo of the operating system, as well as various new features, some of which are even recorded on video.

The new logo follows the same geometrically-inspired design as the previous version, using lots of sharp angles and curves but this time it clearly depicts the numbers, instead of relying on people’s imagination, and pure geometry.

The Chinese letters under the logo translate roughly to “welcome”, as they’re part of the MIUI 13 setup screens. Much more interesting are the leaked videos showing some cool MIUI 13 features in action.

MIUI 13 leaked features

This leak comes from the same source – Xiaomiui. These have been uploaded to YouTube but it’s not clear how long they will survive, so be sure to check them out.

A new leak has now revealed MIUI 13 assets and features as seen on an official, signed MIUI 13 app from Xiaomi. Notable takeaways include the MIUI 13 logo and welcome page as well as a handful of features, with fans only having a few weeks left before the next iteration of Xiaomi’s OS skin debuts.

A few days ago, Xiaomi’s changelog for a MIUI 12.5 build indicated that the company was about to prioritize the development of MIUI 13, hinting at an imminent launch. A new leak now also brings exciting MIUI 13 news, in the guise of leaked app assets.

Sourec

As revealed by Xiaomiui, the MIUI 13 official logo has now leaked. While this is hardly special news, it’s the first official image from MIUI 13, as it comes from a signed MIUI 13 app. The same app also reveals the MIUI 13 welcome page, with the logo taking center stage and a “Welcome to MIUI 13” message right after.

In addition to that, Xiaomiui has also revealed a few features that will come with the MIUI 13 update; namely Infinity Scroll, Sidebar, and Small Widgets. Nothing particularly groundbreaking, admittedly.

As it stands, MIUI 13 is expected to make its debut on December 28 in China. Xiaomi’s next-gen flagship phone, the Xiaomi 12, is tipped to launch alongside it, as is tradition. Last year, for example, Xiaomi launched MIUI 12.5 and the Mi 11 on December 28 as well. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on this.
