The Legion Go features an 8.8-inch QHD+ IPS LCD with a 144Hz refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness, and covers 97 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut. There’s also a kickstand on the back to prop the console on a surface. The power button has RGB lighting with the iconic Lenovo Legion ‘O’ that changes color to indicate user-selectable fan modes.
It includes a Nintendo Switch-like controller, named Legion TrueStrike The controller, which is attached to the body through magnets and can be detached when needed.
The controllers feature Hall-effect joysticks that prevent joystick drift and reduce dead zones to enhance responsiveness and accuracy. In addition to the joystick, the controllers also feature an integrated trackpad, a large D-pad, an angular mouse wheel, and a total of 10 mappable shoulder buttons, trigger and grip buttons. Furthermore, the joystick features customizable RGB rings that add a stylish touch and also act as a notification system for controller pairing. At the bottom of the controller is an optical eye sensor that allows for precise aiming and control.
The Lenovo Legion Go is equipped with an AMD Z1 Extreme APU, 16GB LPDDR5X 7500MHz RAM, and up to 1TB NVMe M.2 2242 PCIe Gen 4 SSD. Additionally, it also has a UHS-II microSD card slot that can be used to expand the storage up to 2TB.
Lenovo says the ColdFront thermal technology on the Legion Go includes a liquid crystal polymer 79-blade fan that operates at less than 25dB of fan noise in quiet mode. In custom mode the device can reach the full 25W TGP.
Running Windows 11 out-of-the-box, Legion Go comes with Legion Spaces, which allows users to easily access all its gaming platforms and stores. The Legion Game Store syncs with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for seamless game purchases. Legion Space Groups compatible game launchers and provides easy access to the entire game library. Additionally, users can also customize settings, such as resolution, refresh rate, brightness, and more.
The console packs a 49.2Wh battery with Super Rapid Charge support, which charges the battery up to 70% in just half an hour. Additionally, when gaming while plugged in, the Lenovo Legion Go features a power bypass mode, which prevents battery drain and dissipates heat.
The Lenovo Legion Go includes dual USB Type-C ports that support DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery 3.0. In addition, the console supports Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.2.
