Lance Reddick’s wife shares emotional tribute
Actor Lance Reddick is being remembered by family and friends after his sudden death Friday at the age of 60.
“Lance was taken from us too soon,” wrote the late actor’s widow, Stephanie Reddick, in an Instagram post on Saturday. “Thank you for all the overwhelming love, support and beautiful stories you’ve shared on these platforms over the last day. I see your messages and I can’t begin to express how grateful I am to have them.”
Lance Reddick, the veteran actor best known for playing Cedric Daniels on “The Wire” and for his work in the “John Wick” franchise, has died of natural causes, according to his representative Mia Hansen.
His “Wire” co-star Wendell Pierce remembered Reddick as “a man of great strength and grace.” tribute on Friday.
“As talented a musician as an actor,” Pierce wrote. “The epitome of class. Sudden unexpected sharp painful grief for our artistic family. Unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones. God hurry my friend. You made your mark here.”

Reddick was also the voice of Commander Zavala in the Destiny game series and was a favorite among the game’s gaming community.
His wife paid tribute to their affection.
“And to the thousands of Destiny players who paid special tribute to Lance, thank you. Lance loved you as much as he loved the game,” wrote Stephanie Reddick.
She asked that donations be made in her name to momcares.org, a nonprofit that serves mothers and families in her hometown of Baltimore.
