VIDEO: Avril Lavigne kicks topless woman off Junos stage

Avril Lavigne threw a half-naked protester off the stage Monday night’s Juno ceremony in Edmonton after the show was interrupted by strikers protesting Ontario’s Greenbelt development.

Just after 8.30pm on Monday night, the show was interrupted when a topless woman jumped on stage with ‘Save the Green Belt’ and ‘Reclaim the Earth’ written on her body. Apparently, the protester wore a mask during the action.

The video shows that Avril appears to have tolerated the action for a few moments before telling the protester to “get the turd off”.

In November that Ontario government passes new regulations to remove 7,400 acres of protected Greenbelt land and open it for housing. Officials said they expect about 50,000 new homes to be built on former Greenbelt land, with construction starting no later than 2025.

It’s the movement Under investigation by Ontario’s Auditor General and Immunity Commissioner and has been was heavily criticized by some.
